Introduction

CCSC has been established for over 50 years and has a growing and enthusiastic membership.  We are a competitive swimming club on the south coast of England and we train at the Westgate Leisure Centre, competing in galas throughout the year.

We welcome new members who share our enthusiasm for competitive swimming in a friendly club environment.  As a small club we put a great deal of emphasis on the importance of team spirit.  We believe that much of our success is derived from the support and friendship our swimmers and parents give to each other as well as the commitment and dedication of the coaching staff and helpers.

Our swimmers compete as a team in a number of different competitions including National Arena Swimming League, Sussex League and various competitions arranged by the Hampshire and South Coast Leagues. In addition to team competitions, our top swimmers compete at county, regional, national and international events.

Although the club has formal rules and procedures, the principles that we adhere to are:

  • Our swimmers are our main priority.
  • We encourage all levels of swimmer to train and take part
  • everyone is treated fairly.
  • We are a friendly club
  • We are run on a voluntary basis

During the week there are various training sessions that are split into different squads: Development 1 and 2, Age Group 1 and 2 and Masters.  Development and progression through the various squads is dependent on ability and age of the swimmer.
